What proof to keep for your 80 hours

The federal rule says you may need to show 80 hours a month, or enough income. It does not give one national proof form. Your state Medicaid agency decides what it will take. Here is what people often keep.

Common records

Keep papers that show the date, the activity, and the hours. Common ones are:

  • Pay stubs or a letter from a job
  • Sign-in sheets from volunteer work
  • A school letter or class schedule
  • Job training attendance
  • App weekly summaries for gig work
  • Photos of any of the above

Proof photos in log80

log80 can store proof photos with each activity. That can be a picture of a pay stub, a sign-in sheet, or a school letter. The photo stays with that day's hours. Your monthly report still lists the dates and the total. Your state may still ask for the original paper.

Use the free 80 hours tracker so the hours and the photos live in one place.
