Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Effective October 1, 2026

Please read this page. It explains what Log80 is, what it is not, and the limits of our responsibility. By using Log80, you agree to this page, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.

1. What this page covers

This page covers every part of Log80 — the services we offer and any service you might think we offer. That includes our website, mobile apps, hour tracker, timers, reports, PDFs, emails, reminders, state rule information, FAQs, help text, support messages, and any future features, free or paid. In this page, "Log80," "we," and "us" also include our owners, employees, contractors, partners, and service providers.

3. Not Tax Advice

Nothing in Log80 is tax, financial, or accounting advice.

Hours, pay labels, and reports in Log80 are for your own records. They are not tax forms and are not meant for filing taxes. Talk to a tax professional or the IRS for tax questions.

4. Not a Medical Device

Log80 is not a medical device and does not give medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

If you enter health information (for example, to note an exemption), Log80 only stores it for you. It does not check, judge, or confirm any health condition. Always talk to a doctor or other health professional about your health. If you have an emergency, call 911.

5. We are not Medicaid and we don't decide your benefits

Log80 is a private tool. We are not a government agency, and we are not part of Medicaid, CMS, or any state program.

We are not responsible for any decision about your Medicaid or other benefits. This includes eligibility, approval, denial, coverage, renewals, exemptions, deadlines, penalties, or any benefits that are reduced, delayed, stopped, or lost. Only your state agency makes those decisions. Using Log80 does not promise that your hours, reports, or exemptions will be accepted.

6. You are responsible for what you log and report

  • You are responsible for making sure everything you enter is true, correct, and complete.
  • Check every report before you send it or hand it in.
  • Know your state's rules and deadlines, and turn in what your state asks for, on time.
  • Keep your own copies of your reports and records.
  • Giving false information to a benefits program can be fraud. Log80 is not responsible for what you choose to enter or report.

7. No warranties — use at your own risk

You use Log80 at your own risk. Log80 is provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no promises or warranties of any kind, whether written, spoken, or implied. This includes any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, or reliability. We do not promise that Log80 will always work, be error-free, be secure, keep your data safe from loss, be accepted by any agency, or meet your needs. Timers, totals, reminders, and reports may have errors. Information from us or anyone else does not create a warranty.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Log80 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. We will also not be liable for any loss of benefits, coverage, health care, money, income, wages, savings, data, time, or opportunity. This applies no matter how the loss happened, including a mistake in Log80, a missed reminder, a wrong total, an outage, lost data, or advice or information you relied on, and even if we were told the loss might happen.

Our total responsibility for all claims about Log80 is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $10 (ten US dollars).

Some states don't allow some of these limits. If so, the limits apply as far as that state's law allows.

9. You agree to protect us (indemnification)

You agree to defend, cover (indemnify), and hold harmless Log80 from any claims, losses, damages, costs, and fees (including lawyer fees) that come from: your use of Log80; anything you enter, report, or share; your breaking this page, our Terms, or any law; or your violating anyone else's rights.

10. Governing law: Massachusetts

This page, and any dispute about Log80, is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any case must be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you agree to those courts.

To the extent the law allows, claims must be brought one person at a time (not as part of a class action), and within one year after the claim arose.

11. Other things to know

  • Not for emergencies: Log80 is not for emergencies. Call 911 if you need help right away.
  • If part of this page can't be enforced: the rest still applies, and that part is applied as far as the law allows.
  • Changes: we may update this page. The date at the top shows the latest version. Using Log80 after a change means you accept it.
  • Our Terms: this page works together with our Terms of Service. If they conflict, the one that gives Log80 more protection applies, as far as the law allows.
